Ernie always liked the Mach-1 and at one point was planning to introduce a "customized production" option for Emerson Knives. The idea was going to be that the knife would be open to customer options, such as a Damascus blade at an extra cost and wait, of course. But ultimately other plans took priority and that idea never got legs.So this one is relatively rare, and Ernie later went on to make the Mach-1 in a Bolstered Custom.
